About Us

The Scarsdale Woman’s Club, a 501(c)3 organization, sponsors educational programs and philanthropic activities.  Club members come from 28 communities and many different backgrounds. They range in age from mothers of school children to golden agers.

A hallmark of the club is its wide array of high-quality programs. From September through June, presentations designed to be both informative and entertaining are offered, often several times a week. There is something for everyone – music, food, gardening, history, literature, art, travel, wellness, community affairs and more.

Refreshments and a time to socialize usually follow the programs. Wednesday programs are open to the public free of charge.

Members enjoy numerous additional activities including outings to museums and restaurants. They participate in lively book discussions, make pottery in our fully equipped studio and garden in the expansive grounds.

Through tag sales and other activities, the club raises money for Westchester charities supporting woman and children. Its book distribution program has provided over two million books to those in need. Food drives take place throughout the year.

Club members meet new people, develop friendships, use their skills and develop new ones. They manage the running of the club, arrange for the upkeep of the historic manor house Rowsley and beautiful grounds, redecorate as needed and oversee rentals. They manage club finances, plan and book programs and publicize the events that have made the club a vital community resource for over 100 years.
